This is the Yellow Cloud Prince used during the Diamonds & Pearls era and was donated to the Smithsonian....heres what is says in the display.
Prince's Yellow Cloud guitar - 1989 In 1992 Smithsonian curators contacted Prince, a musician known for his distinctive, innovative style. Prince's production company donated the Yellow Cloud, built by Minneapolis craftsmen and designed by Prince himself. The guitar features fingerboard inlays in the shape of the artist's personal icon, a stylized combination of the male and female symbols
